ANDOR LABS ANNOUNCES CONFIRMATION TESTING FOR SIX ADDITIONAL OPIATE/OPIOID METABOLITES
To help provide more confidence in confirmation testing results Andor Labs now reports
Normorphine, Norcodeine, Dihydrocodeine, Norhydrocodone, Noroxycodone and Noroxymorphone
as part of its Opiate/Opioid conformation test panel.
Opiate/Opioid pharmacology is complicated by interconnecting metabolic pathways.
Often a drug’s metabolite is a commonly prescribed medication in its own right.
When the intact (parent) drug is not found by confirmation testing, positively identifying
the drug administered is impossible. Now Andor Labs is helping to clarify Opiate/Opioid
drug confirmation test interpretation by including several commonly found Opiate/Opioid
metabolites in our routine test panel (Please refer to the table below for drug/metabolite
assignments).
